SCOTT CITY -- Charles E. Brawley, 64, of Scott City, died Sunday, July 21, 1991, at Ellis Fischel Cancer Research Center in Columbia.

He was born May 10, 1927, in Ellington, son of Thomas L. and Liza Brown Brawley. He and Jean Niswonger were married Sept. 22, 1951, in Piggott, Ark.

Brawley worked at Thoni's Oil Co. many years, and was self-employed as a scrap metal dealer.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Charles Brawley of Cape Girardeau, Mike and Richard Brawley of Scott City; two daughters, Vicki Brant of Scott City, Karen LeDure of Beeville, Texas; a brother, Timon Brawley of Alton; two sisters, Bonnie Holland of Salem, Bernice Hampton of Piedmont, and 13 grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Revs. Jack Cathcart and Rennie Phillips will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
