CAIRO, Ill. -- Charles E. Dille Jr., 82, of Memphis, Tenn., died Thursday, June 12, 1997, at Baptist Medical Center in Memphis.
He was born Dec. 7, 1914, in Cairo, son of Charles E. and Mary Pettis Dille.
Dille served as an Alexander County commissioner in the 1970s. He was a member and former elder at First Presbyterian Church, member of Cairo Elks Lodge, and former member of Cairo Rotary Club.
Survivors include his wife, Valeria; and a son, Charles Dille III of Memphis.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo from 10-11 a.m. Monday.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kelly Cox officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.
