MOUNDS, Ill. -- Charles Dean "Tom" Haws, 61, of Mounds, died Monday, Aug. 24, 1992, at his home.
He was born April 21, 1931, at Bell City, Mo., son of Lou Alexander and Ruby Kennedy Haws.
Haws was formerly of Dexter, Mo., and was a truck driver for Edd Eubanks Trucking there until ill health forced him to retire in 1985. He moved to Mounds in 1985.
Survivors include his wife, Judy; a son, Richard Haws of Valley City, N.D.; four daughters, Susan Salzsieder of Enid, Okla., Julie Stanley of Enderlin, N.D., Patty Haws of Minneota, Minn., Ronita Haws of LaMoure, N.D.
Also four stepsons, Edward Rundles of Florence, Mo., Kenneth Woods of Hillsboro, Paul Woodard with the U.S. Army, Charles Woodard of Indiana; four stepdaughters, Tamera Henry of Paducah, Ky., Demita Rundles of Bellville, Kentia Fritz of Cairo, Louise Smith of St. Louis; three sisters, Faye Kennety of Farmington, Doris Ivy of Mountain View, Ark., Betty Smith of Marble Hill; 31 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Mo.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Davis officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery near Bloomfield.
