ROCKVIEW, Mo. -- Charles "Charlie" Crumbaugh, 78, of Rockview died Friday, Dec. 30, 2005, at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau. He was born May 9, 1927, at Rockview, son of Elisha and Effie Mills Crumbaugh. Crumbaugh was a retired self-employed steeplejack. ROCKVIEW, Mo. -- Charles "Charlie" Crumbaugh, 78, of Rockview died Friday, Dec. 30, 2005, at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born May 9, 1927, at Rockview, son of Elisha and Effie Mills Crumbaugh.

Crumbaugh was a retired self-employed steeplejack. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church at Rockview, Masonic Lodge 417 at Whitewater, Scottish Rite in St. Louis, and lifetime member of VFW in Gonzales, La.

He served with the U.S. Army in Germany during World War II.

Survivors include a brother, Milfred Crumbaugh of Springfield, Ill.; two sisters, Ruth Long of Rockview and Mildred Eldridge of Chaffee, Mo.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. Sunday.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Marty Blakey officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens at Morley, Mo.
