ANNA, Ill. -- Charles Paul Carhart, 59, of Gary, Ind., died Tuesday, June 8, 1999, at his home.
He was born June 18, 1939, in Anna, son of Alfred and Amy Mays Young Carhart.
Carhart was a graduate of Purdue University. He was a metallurgist, and was employed 20 years at Wisconsin Steel. He also had been a consultant with several other steel companies.
Survivors include two sons, Richard and Andrew Carhart of Crete, Ill.; his mother of Jonesboro; two brothers, Harold Young of Bossier City, La., Freddy Young of Salt Lake City, Utah; and a friend, Ann Griffith of Gary.
He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers.
Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Joe Aldridge will officiate. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
