CHAFFEE -- Charles A. Lane, 65, of Beaumont, Texas, died Friday, Sept. 16, 1994, at Golden Triangle Convalescent Center in Beaumont. He was born Aug. 24, 1929, in Chaffee, son of Leo L. and Nora Bidewell Lane. Lane was a 1947 graduate of Chaffee High School, and was a former member of First Baptist Church here. CHAFFEE -- Charles A. Lane, 65, of Beaumont, Texas, died Friday, Sept. 16, 1994, at Golden Triangle Convalescent Center in Beaumont.
He was born Aug. 24, 1929, in Chaffee, son of Leo L. and Nora Bidewell Lane.
Lane was a 1947 graduate of Chaffee High School, and was a former member of First Baptist Church here. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He had been a manager with several motel chains in the Beaumont area.

Survivors include a nephew, Richard Horn of Beaumont, and two aunts, Anna and Mora Bidewell of Advance.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.
