CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Chance E. Kitchen, 25, of Charleston was dead on arrival Sunday, May 9, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo., of a gunshot wound.

He was born March 20, 1979, at Sikeston, son of Frank Williamson and Lynette Kitchen.

Kitchen attended Charleston High School and Job Corps in Excelsior Springs, Mo.

Survivors include his parents; two sisters, Deidre and Ebony Kitchen of Columbia, Mo.; maternal grandfather, Eddie Kitchen of Charleston; maternal grandmother, Mary Williamson of Sikeston; and a friend, Laquanda Atchison of Charleston.

Friends may call at Perry Chapel AME Church after 1 p.m. Sunday.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the church, with the Rev. Kevin Jacques officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Williams Funeral Home in Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
