Chad Pender

BENTON, Mo. -- Chad Lynn Pender, 26, of Benton died Friday, Sept. 2, 2011 at his home.

He was born April 4, 1985 at Cape Girardeau to Jim L. and Rhonda L. Hargrove Pender.

He graduated from Kelly High School in Benton in 2003. He was a touring drummer and musician based in Nashville, Tenn.

Survivors include his parents; two brothers, Aaron J. Pender of Benton and Brian E. Pender of Cape Girardeau; two nieces, Alyssa Pender and Gabriella "Gabbi" Pender; his maternal grandmother, Kay Haleof Nashville, Tenn.; and his paternal grandmother, Betty Pender of Scott City.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Howard Pender.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.

The funeral is at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Rev. Mike Shupert officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
