Celestine Virginia Kohlfeld, 71, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, May 21, 1997, at her home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 30, 1926, in Rockview, the daughter of Anthony and Mary Wiedefeld Scherer.
She first married Dale Dean Littleton in 1943. He preceded her in death Jan. 3, 1963.
She then married Edgar Kohlfeld on Nov. 11, 1967, in Cape Girardeau. He survives.
She was a lifetime resident of Cape Girardeau and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and the VFW Auxiliary. She worked as plant floor manager at Ralph Edwards Sportswear for 15 years, as vice president and personnel manager of Al's Midtown Inc. from 1967 to 1987 and as appointment secretary for Dr. Hillhouse and later Dr. Hall.
She is survived by her mother of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Toni Scott of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Patricia Schabbing of Cape Girardeau and Darlene Summers of St. Louis; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and her father.
Friends may call today from 4 to 9 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. Parish prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Williams officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
