ANNA, Ill. -- Cecile Penrod, 83, of Anna, died Monday, Jan. 13, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. She was born Sept. 4, 1908, near Cobden, daughter of Julious and Ethel Lasley Hartline. She married Earl Penrod June 29, 1929, who died July 31, 1982...

ANNA, Ill. -- Cecile Penrod, 83, of Anna, died Monday, Jan. 13, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

She was born Sept. 4, 1908, near Cobden, daughter of Julious and Ethel Lasley Hartline. She married Earl Penrod June 29, 1929, who died July 31, 1982.

Penrod was a member of Anna United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include two brothers, Raymond Hartline of Anna, Irvin Hartline of Dowell; four sisters, Dorotha Brussels and Agnes Speck of Jackson, Mo., Opal Kelley of Chesterton, Ind., and Violet Ferguson of Vergennes.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Crain Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. Phil Poe will officiate, with burial in Anna Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
