SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Cecil Ray Patterson Jr. of Bloomington, Calif., will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Jim Martin will officiate, with burial in Blodgett Cemetery.
A service will be held today in Rialto, Calif.
Patterson, 58 years old, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 1991, at St. Bernardine's Medical Center in San Bernardino, Calif.
He was born Dec. 7, 1932, at Blodgett, son of Cecil Ray and Novella Gilliland Patterson Sr. He and the former Clara Lukens were married March 16, 1957, in Las Vegas, Nev.
Patterson was a mail carrier with the U.S. Postal Service. He served with the U.S. Army in Korea, and with the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Daniel Patterson of Jacksonville, N.C., Ronnie Patterson of Apple Valley, Calif., Donald Patterson of Rialto; his mother of Scott City; a brother, Henry Patterson of Scott City, and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons and two grandchildren.
