ULLIN, Ill. -- Cecil Kraatz, 101, of Ullin died Monday, Dec. 6, 2004, at her home. She was born March 13, 1903, in Dongola, Ill., daughter of William Loranzo and Chloe Malinda Lentz Earnhart. She and Roy Rudolph Kraatz were married Dec. 23, 1922, in Mound City, Ill. He died in 1966...

ULLIN, Ill. -- Cecil Kraatz, 101, of Ullin died Monday, Dec. 6, 2004, at her home.

She was born March 13, 1903, in Dongola, Ill., daughter of William Loranzo and Chloe Malinda Lentz Earnhart. She and Roy Rudolph Kraatz were married Dec. 23, 1922, in Mound City, Ill. He died in 1966.

Kraatz was an upholstery instructor and the oldest member of Cache Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Carol Steers of Golden, Colo.; four sons, Rod Kraatz of Escondido, Calif., Robert and Joe Kraatz of Olmsted, Ill., Dann Kraatz of Anna, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, a son, two sisters and five brothers.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Ullin from 5 to 8 p.m. today, and after 10 a.m. Thursday at Cache Chapel.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Scott Kelley officiating. Burial will be in Cache Chapel Cemetery.
