SIKESTON -- Memorial service for Cecil "Dutch" Hurt of Sikeston will be held at 1 p.m. today at Murray Lane Baptist Church. The Rev. Kelley Grubbs will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Ponder Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Hurt, 81, died Thursday, April 6, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Sept. 3, 1913, in Morehouse, son of Albert and Clara Bends Hurt. He and Letha Franklin were married Oct. 31, 1961.

Hurt was owner/operator of Dutch the Locksmith 24 years.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Louis Hurt of Texas; nine grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sons.
