ULLIN, Ill. -- Cecil "Eddie" Haynes, 30, of Ullin died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, on Interstate 57 near Effingham, Ill., from injuries sustained in a four-vehicle accident.
He was born March 22, 1978, in Cape Girardeau, son of Thomas and Linda Dillie Haynes. He married Sylviea Altenberger.
Haynes was a security officer at Tri County Detention Center. He was of the Baptist belief.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Tray Haynes; a daughter, Hannah Haynes; his parents; paternal grandmother, Florence Haynes, all of Ullin; maternal grandmother, Dashayah Hawkins of Clyde, Texas; a brother, Luther Haynes and wife Carlyn of Cape Girardeau; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by two infant sisters, Barbara Renee and Misty Dawn Haynes; paternal grandfather, Gene Haynes; and maternal grandfather, Luther Dillie.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge, Ill.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Scott Kelley officiating.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Pulaski, Ill.
