ANNA, Ill. -- Cecil L. Drum, 77, of Washington, Ill., formerly of Anna, died Saturday, April 1, 1995, at Washington Christian Village Nursing Home. He was born July 5, 1917, in Neelys Landing, Mo., son of Clark and Stella Whiteside Drum. He married Eloise Smith Nov. 5, 1946, in Anna. She preceded him in death Nov. 1, 1983...

ANNA, Ill. -- Cecil L. Drum, 77, of Washington, Ill., formerly of Anna, died Saturday, April 1, 1995, at Washington Christian Village Nursing Home.

He was born July 5, 1917, in Neelys Landing, Mo., son of Clark and Stella Whiteside Drum. He married Eloise Smith Nov. 5, 1946, in Anna. She preceded him in death Nov. 1, 1983.

Drum was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Anna VFW Post 3455 and the Vienna American Legion Post 536.

Survivors include a son, David Drum of Washington; two daughters, Vicki Hipsher of Brownstown, Lisa Hackler of Sycamore; three brothers, Earl Drum of Peoria Heights, Bob Drum of Mountain Home, Ark., Jack Drum of Creve Coeur; two sisters, Ruth Jackson of Sunnyland, Lucille Campbell of East Peoria, and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Wednesday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery, with military graveside rites by Anna VFW Post 3455.
