CATHRYN WHITE

Cathryn M. White, 94, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 1998, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center.

She was born May 9, 1903, in Jackson, daughter of Thomas Patrick and Lenore Franklin Rafferty. She and O.O. White were married June 4, 1938. He died Oct. 13, 1979.

White taught school at Perryville from 1925 until retiring in 1960. She and her husband also had farmed at East Prairie. She moved to Cape Girardeau in 1982. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Jackson, and had been a member of Perryville Garden Club and St. Vincent's Society in Perryville.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Mary Rafferty of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 5-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Church, with Msgr. Edward Eftink officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
