ORAN, Mo. -- Catherine Deloris Morrill, 80, of Oran passed away Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, at Ratcliff Nursing Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born on April 26, 1937, in Illmo to the late Alvin and Vera McGhee Held. She married Norman Louis Morrill on March 3, 1956, and he preceded her in death April 25, 2015.
Catherine was a retired inspector for Thorngate Ltd. in Chaffee, Missouri. She was a member of Eisleben Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid in Scott City.
She is survived by a son, Keith (Helen) Morrill of Benton, Missouri; two daughters, Pam (Kelly) Kyle of Oran and Nicole (James) Stephens of Marble Hill, Missouri; two brothers, Bob (Arlene) Held of Festus, Missouri, and Fred (Tracy) Held of Doniphan, Missouri; four sisters, Virginia (Larry) O'Brien of Scott City, Sharon (Mark) Hillemann of Oran, Donna (Ronnie) Carr of Oran and Debbie (Brian) Gill of Oran; six grandchildren, Kraig (Jin) Kyle of Stamford, Connecticut; Kara (Nathan) Dirnberger of Benton; Klayton (Kelsey) Kyle of Oran; Karson (Alisha Hendrix) Morrill of Advance, Missouri; Kollin Morrill of Benton and Kirsten Stephens of Marble Hill; and six great-grandchildren, Kailee, Liam and Cooper Kyle, Tucker and Saylor Dirnberger, Amelia Kyle, and two more on the way.
She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Konner Stephens; a brother and two sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Eisleben Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Marty Hasz officiating. Burial will be at Eisleben Lutheran Cemetery in Scott City.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eisleben Lutheran Church in memory of Catherine Morrill.
