ANNA, Ill. -- Catherine Marie Dillow, 81, of rural Cobden, died Friday, Feb. 20, 1998, at Union County Hospital in Anna.
She was born Jan. 9, 1917, near Cobden, daughter of Dugan and Agnes Highland Tripp.
She married Adolphus Lee Dillow on April 13, 1935, in Union County. He died Aug. 29, 1984.
She was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church where she was a board member for the Clear Creek Baptist Association. She was a member of the Anna-Jo Garden Club, Jonesboro Home Extension Unit. She previoulsy worked at King's Baker, Rechter's Department Store and Florsheim Shoe Co. She was a volunteer at the Veterans Hospital in Marion for several years.
She is survived by a son, Darrell Dillow of Cobden; a daughter, Shirley Jobe of Cobden; two brothers, Frank Tripp of Anna and Glenn Tripp of Cobden; three sisters, Mary Keith of Anna, Louise Rich of Cobden and Betty Taylor of Tucson, Ariz.; four grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Lutz & Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev. P.L. Montgomery officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
