Graveside service for Carroll E. Crites of Cherryvale, Kan., was held Friday at Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale.
Potts Chapel in Cherryvale was in charge of arrangements.
Crites, 64, died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 1998, at Labette County Medical Center in Parsons, Kan.
He was born Dec. 16, 1933, in Sedgewickville, son of Charley and Dessie Mae Garland Crites. He and Sylvia Moore were married in April 1959. He and Wilma Thomas were married in 1964. He later married Grace Olyer Suddock Sept. 28, 1979.
Crites was retired from Fluor Daniels Construction Co. He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife; a son, James Crites of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Deanna Holeman of Parsons; a stepdaughter, Audrey Adams of Cherryvale; two brothers, Larry Crites of Cape Girardeau, Harold Crites of Cherryvale; three sisters, Clara Mills of Fredericktown, Joy McIntyre of Jackson, Norma Mungle of Cape Girardeau; and seven grandchildren.
