OLMSTED, Ill. -- Carrie Voelker, 91, of Olmsted died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. She was born Feb. 20, 1907, at Mill Creek, daughter of Charles and Minta Baldwin Miller. She married Willie Richter in 1928, who died in 1935. She later married Friedrich Voelker in 1938. He died in 1988...

OLMSTED, Ill. -- Carrie Voelker, 91, of Olmsted died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

She was born Feb. 20, 1907, at Mill Creek, daughter of Charles and Minta Baldwin Miller. She married Willie Richter in 1928, who died in 1935. She later married Friedrich Voelker in 1938. He died in 1988.

Voelker was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church and had taught Sunday School.

Survivors include a son, William Richter of Olmsted; two daughters, Selma Horton of Pana, Anna Nobbe of Coffeen; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters, and a grandson.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Ullin from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, and after noon Sunday at St. Luke Church.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the church, with Carl Miller officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens.
