CAIRO, Ill. -- Carrie L. Parker, 84, of Cairo died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003, at her home.
She was the daughter of Hester and Emily Cowan. She married Clyde Parker, who died Nov. 8, 1989.
Parker had been a seamstress at Lowenbaum Manufacturing Plant in Mounds, Ill., and at M. Snower and Co. in Cairo.
She attended the Assembly of God Church in Cairo, and was a Sunday School teacher many years.
Survivors include two daughters, Kay Johnson of Cairo, Charlotte Highers of Cumming, Ga.; a son, the Rev. Phillip Parker of Bluefield, W.Va.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson.
Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo after 5 p.m. Thursday.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Phillip Parker and Wilma Williams officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Heights Cemetery at Mounds.
