ADVANCE -- Carrie E. Wiggins, 93, of Advance, died Sunday, April 11, 1993, at her home. She was born Feb. 18, 1900, at Rock Point, daughter of Richard and Martha Jackson Goodman. She and John Corbin Wiggins were married June 8, 1918, at Advance. Wiggins was the oldest charter member of First Baptist Church...

ADVANCE -- Carrie E. Wiggins, 93, of Advance, died Sunday, April 11, 1993, at her home.

She was born Feb. 18, 1900, at Rock Point, daughter of Richard and Martha Jackson Goodman. She and John Corbin Wiggins were married June 8, 1918, at Advance.

Wiggins was the oldest charter member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Farrell Wiggins of Advance; three daughters, June Ferrier and Martha Mitchell of Advance, Rosemary Rachel of Akron, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Morgan FuneralChapel. The Rev. Clinton Woodfin will officiate, with burial in Morgan Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. today.
