ANNA, Ill. -- Carrie Agnes Cross, 92, of Anna, died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 1995, at City Care Center in Anna. She was born March 4, 1903, in Anna, daughter of Walter W. and Ella Nichols Wiley. She and Ira Cross were married June 9, 1923, at Creal Springs. He died Jan. 14, 1939...

ANNA, Ill. -- Carrie Agnes Cross, 92, of Anna, died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 1995, at City Care Center in Anna.

She was born March 4, 1903, in Anna, daughter of Walter W. and Ella Nichols Wiley. She and Ira Cross were married June 9, 1923, at Creal Springs. He died Jan. 14, 1939.

Cross retired as a cook with Davie Grade School in Anna. She was active in the Sunshine Inn Senior Citizens.

Survivors include a son, Harold Cross of Anna; three daughters, Evalee Harman of St. Louis, Shirley Casper of Carbondale, Carmen Coffman of Jonesboro; 12 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, eight brothers and sisters.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna after 6 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Phil Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
