Carolyn Jean Wright, 72, of Scott City died Thursday, March 24, 2011, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Mo.
She was born Dec. 8, 1938, in Benton, Mo., to Harrison and Jueldeen Palmer Young. She and Gary Jerriett Wright were married Nov. 20, 1954, in Benton. He preceded her in death April 2, 1993.
She is survived by two sons, Alan (LeAnna) Wright of Commerce, Mo., Cleo (Theresa) Wright of Scott City; a daughter, Vicki (Rod) Carroll of Scott City; three sisters, Sharon Swinford, Joyce Livingston and Betty Stephens, all of Scott City; a brother, Lee Livingston of St. Louis; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Wright; a daughter, Saundra Wright; and stepfather, Harold Livingston.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of service today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at the chapel, with the Rev. David Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery in Commerce.
