Carolyn Joan Warren, 81, of Jackson, formerly of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away Sunday, Dec. 25, 2022, at Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
Carolyn was born March 31, 1941, to Donald and Geneva Johnson Lawson in Neelyville, Missouri. She married Bert Lee Warren Sr. on March 7, 1959, in Poplar Bluff.
Carolyn was of the Baptist faith. She thoroughly enjoyed many hours of card games and dominoes with her mother, granddaughter and other family members. She retired from Smiley Container Corp. after 30-plus years of service. She liked to garden and bowl. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family.
She is survived by a son, Bert (Billie) Warren of Jackson; granddaughter, Sara (Tim) Lee of Green Bay, Wisconsin; great-granddaughter, Hannah Lee; sister-in-law, Mary Lawson; three nephews, Jim (Holly) Lawson, Jerry (Kelly) Lawson and Ron Pickard; two nieces, Holly Farley and Kellie (Glen) Adcock; and numerous great-nieces, -nephews and extended family members.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Bert Lee Warren Sr.; parents; three brothers, Don, Jerry and Bill Lawson; and sister-in-law, Glenda Lawson
Visitation will be from 1 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral and Cremation Services in Poplar Bluff.
Funeral will follow beginning at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, with Pastor Jim Schremp officiating. Carolyn will be laid to rest next to her husband at Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Becky, Connie, Tracy and all the wonderful people of Unit 300 at Lutheran Home of Cape Girardeau.
