Carolyn Irene Seabaugh, 75, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Sept. 13, 2020, at her home. She was born Dec. 8, 1944, in Cape Girardeau to Galvin and Earlene Clifton Dillingham. She was a graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School class of 1962. Carolyn worked at Schaaf Grocery throughout high school. Over the years, she was a secretary at Colonial Restaurant, Southside Baptist Church, Bethany Baptist Church and Maple United Methodist Church, and retired after 29 years...

Carolyn Irene Seabaugh, 75, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Sept. 13, 2020, at her home.

She was born Dec. 8, 1944, in Cape Girardeau to Galvin and Earlene Clifton Dillingham.

She was a graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School class of 1962.

Carolyn worked at Schaaf Grocery throughout high school. Over the years, she was a secretary at Colonial Restaurant, Southside Baptist Church, Bethany Baptist Church and Maple United Methodist Church, and retired after 29 years.

She volunteered at the FISH Pantry at Maple United Methodist Church and Safe Harbor Thrift Store.

Her hobbies included genealogy, reading local history and collecting vintage glassware. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and loved watching the games with her dad, Galvin.

Carolyn's survivors include her sister, Diane (Tom) Taylor of Cape Girardeau; brother, Tim (Lisa) Dillingham of Cape Girardeau; niece, Megan Kathleen Dillingham; and beloved cat, Dude.

She was preceded in death by her parents; nephew, Christopher Marshall Dillingham; paternal grandparents, Sherman and Floy Dillingham; and maternal grandparents, Jack and Ethel Clifton.

There will be no services.

Private burial will be at Hobbs Chapel Cemetery in Cape Girardeau at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be given to Safe Harbor Animal Sanctuary, 359 Cree Lane, Jackson, MO 63755.

Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
