Carolyn Elizabeth Sanders, 71, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016, at Chateau Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 24, 1945, in Lampasas, Texas, to Herbert Max and Ava Elizabeth Baker Sanders.
She served in the U.S. Army and also the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Carolyn was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving mother, sister and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include two daughters, Catherine (Johnny) Niswonger of Jackson and Carrie Puig of Leopold, Missouri; a son, Harvey (Mary) Havens Jr. of Copperas Cove, Texas; a brother, George Wayne Sanders of Albuquerque, New Mexico; a sister, Peggy Elaine Sanders of Searcy, Arkansas; grandsons, Harvey Havens III, Levi Havens, Job Havens, Michael Havens, Thomas Mills and Sam Niswonger; and granddaughters, Melissa Bolman, Lizzie Mills, Jonna Niswonger and Olivia Niswonger.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and son-in-law, Guillermo Puig.
There will be a private memorial service with burial at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
