Carolyn B. Philipps, 57, of Jackson passed away Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, at the Monticello House.

She was born Dec. 25, 1960, in St. Louis, daughter of Harold and Marian Joly Becker. She and Joel Philipps were married Oct. 22, 1983. He passed away Feb. 19, 2014.

Carolyn is a 1979 graduate of Jackson High School. She worked at the former Boatmen's Bank in Cape Girardeau and Healing Arts Pharmacy in Saint Francis Medical Center as a pharmacy technician. She was a former member of the Kiwanis Club. Carolyn was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson.

Loving survivors include two sons, Christopher (Kelly) Philipps of New Madrid, Missouri, and Samuel (Lauren) Philipps of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Marian Knapp of St. Louis; two brothers, Mark (Diane) Becker of Ballwin, Missouri, and Paul (Stacie) Becker of St. Louis; mother-in-law, Barbara Philipps of Jackson; two brothers-in-law, Timothy (Rebecca) Philipps of Glen Carbon, Illinois, and Thomas Philipps of Jackson; a sister-in-law, Carol Noud of Glen Carbon; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joel; sister, Jean Marie Becker; and father-in-law, David Philipps.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church, with Father John Harth officiating. Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Southeast Hospice or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
