Carolyn Ann Nenninger, 68, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, June 30, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center. She was born Feb. 14, 1940, in Leopold, Mo., daughter of Henry and Martha Elfrink Nenninger. Nenninger was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Cape Girardeau. She had worked at Saint Francis and the Lutheran Home in the dietary department. Carolyn Ann Nenninger, 68, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, June 30, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 14, 1940, in Leopold, Mo., daughter of Henry and Martha Elfrink Nenninger.

Nenninger was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Cape Girardeau. She had worked at Saint Francis and the Lutheran Home in the dietary department. She will always be remembered as a loving mom, "Nanny," aunt and sister.

Survivors include a daughter, Desiree Hawthorne of Whitewater; four brothers, Edgar Nenninger of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., Ted Nenninger of Hazelwood, Mo., Greg Nenninger of Leopold, Tom Nenninger of St. Louis; three grandchildren, Katie, Blake and Taylor Palmer, all of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Eugene Nenninger; and a sister, Evelyn Beussink.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 7.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. David Hulshof officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery at Leopold.
