THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Carolyn Fisher, 71, of The Woodlands, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016.

Carolyn was born in Cape Girardeau to Elmo and Cordelia Maevers, who preceded her in death.

She was known for her caring, vibrant and bubbly personality as she continually placed the needs and concerns of her family and friends before her own.

She had a successful career in real estate in the Houston area, providing opportunity and well-being for her children. Carolyn began her career in Kingwood, Texas, and finished in The Woodlands. She was loved by fellow agents for her positive attitude and sincere devotion to everyone with whom she worked. She won many awards in her real-estate endeavors as a top producer in both new homes sales and resale.

Carolyn enjoyed attending services at her church and participating in Bible Study Fellowship as she grew closer to her Lord each day.

She is survived by her daughter, Amy Fisher-Smith; a son, Duke Fisher, and his wife, Michelle, and grandchildren, Max, Gabby and Zoe. She also is survived by her former husband, David Fisher; a sister, Christy (Alan) Benton; and a brother, Larry (Karalyn) Maevers.

A memorial service for Carolyn will be at 10 a.m. Friday at The Woodlands United Methodist Church, 2200 Lake Woodlands Drive, The Woodlands, TX 77380.
