KELSO, Mo. -- Caroline Stella Robert, 92, of Kelso died Tuesday, June 27, 2006, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 31, 1913, at New Hamburg, Mo., daughter of George and Katie Glueck Scherer. She and Charles Frank Robert were married May 18, 1937, at New Hamburg. He died Dec. 5, 2001.
Robert retired as a salesperson with Cort and Vanda Cosmetics. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and St. Anne Sodality.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Pat Robert of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Armella McClain of Kelso, Marcella Schlitt of Oran, Ill.; a brother, Cletus Scherer of Benton, Mo., three grandchildren, Stephanie (Brian) Tew of Scott City, Nicole (Rob) Darnell of St. Louis, Gabe Robert of Cape Girardeau; and two great-grandsons, Tyler Stephens and Jordan Tew.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday. Parish prayers will be at 7.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Augustine Church, with Monsignor Edward Eftink officiating. Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery.
