McCLURE, Ill. -- Funeral service for Caroline McClure Webb will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel in Cape Girardeau, Mo. The Rev. Raymond Oxford will officiate, with burial in Lindsey Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
Webb, 71, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 5, 1924, in Cairo, daughter of Egbert A. and Virginia C. McClure Smith. She and Clarence Homer Webb were married Oct. 10, 1946, in Cape Girardeau.
Webb attended Cairo High School and graduated from Central High School in Cape Girardeau.
The town of McClure was named for her great-grandfather.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Tom Webb of Tennessee, Riley Webb of Cape Girardeau, Charles Webb of McClure; two daughters, Mia Rummage of Panama Beach, Fla., Ida Marie Rouse of Arnold; 10 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a stepfather and stepmother.
