Carole Schenimann, 72, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, March 7, 2021, at Southeast Hospital.

She was born Nov. 2, 1948, in Cape Girardeau to Emil and Gertrude Voss Heider. She and John Schenimann were married Oct. 24, 1971, at Trinity Lutheran Egypt Mills.

She graduated from Cape Girardeau Central High School in 1966.

She was a hairdresser for more than 40 years.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Egypt Mills and was baptized and graduated from parochial school at Trinity Lutheran Cape Girardeau

Survivors include her husband, John Schenimann of Cape Girardeau; daughters, Juli Knowlton and Sarah Carr; brother, David (Lucy) Heider; sisters, Beverly (Harvey) Brase and Mary (Chuck) Schuessler; grandchildren, Tyler Carr, Jason Knowlton, Katelyn (Colton) McMichael and Jennifer Knowlton; and great-grandchildren, Aria Poston, and Cam Carr.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Emily Schenimann; and brother, Robert Heider.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Funeral will be at 12 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Steven Theiss officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Egypt Mills.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Shriners Club and Trinity Lutheran Egypt Mills Cemetery Fund.
