Carole Ann Moutell, 52, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Jan. 31, 1998.

She was born at Granite City, Ill., Sept. 17, 1945, daughter of James D. and Louise Ruth Brooks Hackney.

She married Charles Moutell on July 11, 1973, at Cape Girardeau. He survives.

She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. She and her husband had owned Capitol Hill Realty since 1974. She was "Realtor of the Year" in 1983. She was a life member of the Million Dollar Club, was a past president of the Cape Girardeau County Board of Realtors. She was involved with the Realtors Association as a broker. She had realty designations of CRB, CRS and GRI.

Survivors included her mother of Cape Girardeau; daughters, Lesa L. Hinton of Cape Girardeau, Lisa Wright, Granite City, and Julie Miinch of Grover, Mo.; a brother, James E. Hackney of Schaumburg, Ill.; sisters, Marjorie Devany of Cincinnati, Ohio and Janet White of Orlando, Fla.; and nine grandchildren.

Service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel, with the Revs. Gary Brothers, Hubert Roberson and Charles Lance officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.

Friends may call Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
