Carol Sneed

Carol Ann Baylor Sneed, 38, formerly of Jackson, died Thursday, April 16, 2020, at her home in St. Louis.

Born March 4, 1982, in Cape Girardeau to Monte Baylor and Shelley Johnson Baylor, who survive of Jackson, she considered her hometown McAllen, Texas. She had lived in Jackson while growing up and was a graduate of Jackson High School. She had attended Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky, Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau and the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and had lived in St. Louis the past several years, where she was employed with Intrado School Messenger.

On Oct. 10, 2015, she married James Lester Sneed, who survives of the home.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her brothers and sisters, John Baylor, Jason Baylor, Jennifer Baylor and Teena Adams; father- and mother-in-law, James and Carol Beggs Sneed; brother-in-law, John Sneed; sisters-in-law, Brandy Sneed and Annie Shirrell; nieces and nephews, Liam, Talan, Gabriel, Mia, Maddix, Caidith, Tyler and Amy; beloved cats, Trico, Scout and Atticus; and too many friends and loved ones to name.

Private family visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston, Missouri. The Rev. Rick Ramsey will officiate.

Interment will follow in New Morley Cemetery in Morley, Missouri, under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston.
