Carol Roberts

Carol Jo Roberts, 52, of Jackson passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 19, 1971, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Oscar Rosolee "Lee" and Essie Littleton Brotherton. She and Stuart Jason Roberts were married May 29, 2004, in Cape Girardeau.

Carol was a 1989 graduate of Jackson High School and a graduate of Metro Business College in the 1990s. She worked for Ford Groves for more than 30 years, culminating as the office manager.

Carol loved to be with her family. Her greatest joy came from praying for people and worshiping the Lord. She was a loyal servant of God, family and friends.

Loving survivors include her husband, Stuart Jason Roberts; two daughters, Brittney (David) Peters of Jackson and Cassie (Floyd) Varela of Scott City; son, Wesley Roberts of San Diego; granddaughter, Avonlea Peters; three sisters, Dianna (Tom) Hale, Vicki (Ted) Holzum and Kim (Ken) Brown; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Monday, May 15, at Apostolic Promise Church in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 15, at the church, with Pastor Timothy Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
