Carol Grace

Carol Lee Grace, 60, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Cairo, Ill., and Ballard County, Ky., died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 17, 1953, in Cairo, daughter of Henry and Leota Holmes Vaughn.

Grace attended Mighty Rivers Regional Worship Center in Cairo and Shawnee Community College.

Survivors include her husband, Martin W. Grace Jr. of Cape Girardeau; mother and stepfather, Leota and Ron Ethridge of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Angelita Showalter of Kevil, Ky., and Amanda Ebey of Scott City; five brothers, Ron Ethridge Jr. of Cape Girardeau, Martin Vaughn of Jackson, Loren Vaughn of Murphysboro, Ill., Charles Vaughn of Cairo and Larry Vaughn of Seattle; several grandchildren; and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Vaughn; a son, Scott Vaughn; and a brother, Robert Vaughn.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo.

A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home, with Dr. Larry L. Potts officiating. Graveside rites will be conducted at 9 a.m. Thursday at Wickliffe, Ky., Cemetery.
