Carmen Harris Shaver Templeton, 82, of Biggers-Reyno, Ark., died Saturday, April 9, 2005, at the Lawerance Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge, Ark. She was born Oct. 9, 1922, in Ingram Township of Arkansas, daughter of Carter and Myrtle Harris Shaver. She was married on Oct. 25, 1941, to Cecil Keel Templeton, who preceded her in death. To this union five children were born: Carmen Beatrice, Walter Cecil, Guy Calvin, Cecilia Sue and Mary Carol...

Carmen Harris Shaver Templeton, 82, of Biggers-Reyno, Ark., died Saturday, April 9, 2005, at the Lawerance Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge, Ark.

She was born Oct. 9, 1922, in Ingram Township of Arkansas, daughter of Carter and Myrtle Harris Shaver. She was married on Oct. 25, 1941, to Cecil Keel Templeton, who preceded her in death. To this union five children were born: Carmen Beatrice, Walter Cecil, Guy Calvin, Cecilia Sue and Mary Carol.

Templeton was a faithful member of the Reyno Church of Christ. She was an active member of the Arkansas China Painters Club for several years, holding various offices. She retired from Pro Group in Pocahontas, Ark., and was a Brad Headstart grandmother, which she enjoyed very much.

Templeton is survived by two sons, Walter and wife Linda of St. Peters, Mo., Guy and wife Paulette of Winfield, Mo.; a daughter, Cecilia Tilley of Reyno, Ark.; a brother, Edward Kimble and wife Jane of St. Louis, Mo.; two sisters, Connie Viess and husband John of Rocport, Texas, Mary Lindsey and husband Bill of Biggers, Ark.; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carter Shaver and Myrtle Harris Kimble; stepfather Earnest Kimble; two daughters, Carmen Beatrice Aden and Mary Carol McCain; two grandchildren, Deborah Michelle and Michael Edward Aden; a sister, Enid Evans; and a brother, Wilburn Kimble.

Friends may call at McNabb Funeral Home in Pocahontas, Ark., from 6 to 8 p.m. today. Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Reyno Church of Christ.
