BLOOMFIELD -- Carmaleen Thorn, 72, of Bloomfield, died Wednesday, May 22, 1996, at her home.
She was born Jan. 29, 1924, daughter of Frank and Ethel Lawrence Walker. She married Cecil Thorn, who died Dec. 20, 1995.
Thorn was employed with Missouri Division of Family Services in Bloomfield about 25 years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and served in many areas of the Sunday School and church.
Survivors include children, Melinda Kersey of Dacula, Ga., Lucinda Brown of Vadnais Heights, N.M., Joanne Newcomer of Jefferson City, Grant Thorn of Bloomfield, Mary Goforth of Parma, Francis Rendleman of Bell City; two brothers, James Walker of Bloomfield, Wayne Walker of Columbia; 13 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home from 7-9 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Church, with the Rev. Hank Foster officiating. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery.
