Carlos C. Sampson, 73, of St. Louis died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2002, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Festus, Mo.
He was born Aug. 3, 1929, in Cincinnati, Ohio, son of Joseph and Maudie Mae Reynolds-Ingram Sampson. He married the former Virginia Vitale.
Sampson had been a chemical mixer. He lived in Cape Girardeau from 1985 to 1994.
Survivors include two daughters, Virginia Sampson and Linda Sampson of St. Louis; four sons, Joseph Sampson, Carlos Sampson Jr. and Carlos Anthony Sampson, all of St. Louis, Charles Sampson of Ohio; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
Friends may call at Kutis South County Chapel in St. Louis from 4 to 9 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel. Burial will be in Shepherd Hills Cemetery at Imperial, Mo.
