CAIRO, Ill. -- Carlos J. Walston, 78, of Cairo, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
He was born May 6, 1914, in Mounds, son of Oran and Lora Billingsley Walston.
Walston was formerly owner of Walston Wholesale Tobacco and Amusement Co. He was a member of Cairo Elks Lodge 651, Egyptian Country Club, and veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Gussella, and a sister, Regina Graves of Detroit, Mich.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Barkett Funeral Chapel in Cairo, with the Rev. Larry Potts officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Heights Cemetery at Mounds.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
