EAST PRAIRIE -- Carl Wilbur Kimble, 74, of East Prairie, died Saturday, July 4, 1992 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. He was born Feb. 9, 1918 in Wyatt, the son of Henry and Ida Clark Wallace Kimble. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in East Prairie and an Army veteran of World War II...

EAST PRAIRIE -- Carl Wilbur Kimble, 74, of East Prairie, died Saturday, July 4, 1992 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born Feb. 9, 1918 in Wyatt, the son of Henry and Ida Clark Wallace Kimble.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in East Prairie and an Army veteran of World War II.

He was a part time farmer and worked for Winchester Chevrolet for more than 30 years.

He married Virginia Fields on Feb. 19, 1955. She survives.

Other survivors are one daughter, Louise Kimble of East Prairie; one step-son, James Furlong of St. Louis; one grandson and two step-granddaughters.

Funeral service will be held to day at 1 p.m. at the Shelby Funeral Chapel with the Revs. George White and Ted Wimberley officiating. Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation was held Sunday.
