SIKESTON, Mo. -- Carl "Eddie" Todt Jr., 55, of Sikeston passed away Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2014, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born Feb. 19, 1959, in Cape Girardeau to Carl Edward and Kathryn Ann Dumey Todt Sr. He married Angela Plafcan on July 21, 2002.

Carl was a self-employed farmer. He was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, Mo., St. Joseph Sodality, past president of Scott County Farm Bureau Board, Knights of Columbus of Oran Council 4311, Scott County Extension Council and Adopt Board for Rural Restoration.

He is survived by his wife, Angela of the home; his mother, Kathryn Todt of Sikeston; a daughter, Hannah (Zach) Pfaff of Cabot, Ark.; two sisters, Mary Beth Todt of Columbia, S.C., and Susan (Mark) Howard of Fruitland; a nephew, Tyler Howard; and a niece, Stephanie Howard.

He was preceded in death by his father and two sisters, Sharon and Darlene Todt.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, Mo. Parish prayers will be at 6 p.m., with Knights of Columbus prayers following.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Catholic Church Cemetery in Oran.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Guardian Angel School or Missouri Farm Bureau Foundation.
