DONGOLA, Ill. -- Funeral service for Carl Schluter of Heyworth, formerly of Dongola, will be held at 8 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Chapel here. Merrill Pierce will officiate. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Dongola American Legion Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 p.m. to service time.
Schluter, 75, died Wednesday, July 28, 1993, at Scotchwood Health Care Center in Bloomington.
He was born Oct. 10, 1917, in Ullin, son of Guy L. and Ina E. Keller Schluter. He and Eulala King were married June 23, 1940.
Schluter was a retired industrial arts teacher. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Rita Schluter of Bolingbrook, Sharon Barrett of Heyworth; a sister, Pauline Mallams of Sun City, Ariz., and a grandson.
