Carl W. Revelle, 59, of Jackson died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 5, 1949, at Patton, Mo., son of Lawrence and Bessie Smith Revelle. He and Janet Mayfield were married July 16, 1967.
Revelle was a 1967 graduate of the former Patton High School. He was employed nine years at the former LeeRowan Co., and 25 years at Procter & Gamble, retiring in 2004.
He had lived in rural Jackson since 1977. He raised and trained quarter horses many years and was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association. He was a member of Cape County Cowboy Church, were he worked on the Leadership Team and was a bass singer with the Cowboy Band.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kim Thompson of Jackson; a son, Darin Revelle of Altenburg, Mo.; a brother, Clyde Revelle of Patton; two sisters, Carol Sneed of Jackson, Claudine Hess of Florida; and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Matthews officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
