Carl R. Schumacher, 71, of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, Oct. 18, 1991, at the Lutheran Home.
He was born Nov. 29, 1919, in Cape Girardeau, son of Frederick and Ruth Smith Schumacher.
Schumacher graduated from Southeast Missouri State University, and received a master's degree in business from St. Louis University.
He worked for Standard Oil of Ohio 10 years, Trailmobile Corp. 15 years, and was a commercial real estate broker many years in Cincinnati. He retired in 1984 and moved back here. He attended First Presbyterian Church.
Schumacher served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
Survivors include two sos, Dale Schumacher of San Francisco, Calif., Fred Schumacher of Cincinnati; a daughter, Ruth Hoover of San Francisco; a brother, Albert Schumacher of Rochester, Minn.; two sisters, Pauline Young and Juanita Downs of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren, Sarah and Stephen Schumacher of Cincinnati, and Robert Hoover III of San Francisco.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. Charles Grant will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
