PERRYVILLE -- Carl O. Peterson, 80, of Perryville, died Monday, July 27, 1992, at Perry County Hospital.
He was born Jan. 30, 1912, in Renville, Minn., son of John and Mary Anderson Peterson. He and Lenore A. Peloquin were married May 14, 1936, in Forest Lake, Minn.
Peterson was former owner of Perryville Cheese Co., and served as mayor here from 1960-64.
He was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus; past president of Missouri Butter and Cheese Association; charter member of Perryville Optimist Club, serving as president 1955-58; former member of Perry County School Board, and member of Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mary Hof of Florissant, Christine Peters of Schaumburg, Ill.; two sons, Robert and Mark Peterson of Perryville; a sister, Elizabeth Rochel of Shafer, Minn., and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by seven brothers.
Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today. A KC wake will be held at 7.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent's Church. The Rev. Charles Rice will officiate, with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
