ANNA, Ill. -- Carl Nothern, 71, of Anna, died Sunday, July 26, 1992, at Union County Hospital here. He was born Aug. 16, 1920, at Saratoga, son of John and Annie Basler Nothern. He and Pauline Capron were married Oct. 30, 1946. Nothern worked many years at the former McIntire Shell and Williams Shell Service in Anna. He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, and taught the men's Sunday School class...

ANNA, Ill. -- Carl Nothern, 71, of Anna, died Sunday, July 26, 1992, at Union County Hospital here.

He was born Aug. 16, 1920, at Saratoga, son of John and Annie Basler Nothern. He and Pauline Capron were married Oct. 30, 1946.

Nothern worked many years at the former McIntire Shell and Williams Shell Service in Anna. He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, and taught the men's Sunday School class.

Survivors include his wife.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Revs. John Cripps and Ronald Burnett will officiate, with burial in Anna Cemetery.
