CHARLESTON -- Carl "Junior" Myers, 72, of Charleston, died Wednesday, March 18, 1992, at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 5, 1920, in Mississippi County, son of Carl and Flossie Skyles Myers Sr. He and Ada Hequembourgh were married Feb. 11, 1940.
Myers owned and operated Sands Restaurant until retiring in 1978. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and VFW Post 4294 at Charleston. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Bill Myers of Dallas, Texas; three daughters, Suzanne Warren, Charleston Route 2, Mossie Schallon of Ballwin, Julie Myers of Cape Girardeau; his mother of Charleston; 11 grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a son.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at McMikle Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Richard Combs will officiate, with burial in IOOF Cemetery.
