Carl Lee Linebarger, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 1, 1925, in Cape Girardeau, son of Emery S. and Mabel Sauer Linebarger. He and Cleo Deevers were married Dec. 15, 1946, in Detroit.
Linebarger served in the Merchant Marines. He attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.
The Linebargers were formerly of New Orleans. He was the owner of NOLA Delivery Inc., which delivered for Sears Roebuck for all of Southern Louisiana and parts of Mississippi.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Jacquie Stewart of New Orleans, Carla Padour of California; a brother, John Linebarger of San Antonio, Texas; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Mickey Armentrout; and a brother.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Douglas C. Breite officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
